2 star hotel pretending to be 5 star
Clean beautiful rooms Quiet serene surroundings
It's not a 5 star hotel by any means, more like 2 stars. We arrived to find out there were NO dining options except room service! The only restaurant is closed from Monday to Wed. We had to take a taxi to Girona and back for a meal. We were so upset. Wasting our time travelling to the hotel from Girona and having to take a taxi back for dinner. So don't ever waste your money paying €300 for a bed and room. The staff were unhelpful and did not seem to appreciate what a 5 star hotel is

What was the highlight of Sants Metges Hotel
A luxurious, unique place to get away from it all.
This hotel is the ultimate in understated luxury. It is the perfect place to unwind, in very peaceful surroundings. The facilities are high quality, the pool area was very quiet when we stayed and the access to the spa area was an added bonus. The building is unique and beautifully appointed. The staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble but you feel very much that are left to your own devices and undisturbed. An easy 15 minute drive into the centre of Barcelona.
You do need a car if you want to go anywhere outside the hotel complex as it is very isolated - we were aware of this and didn't find it an issue at all.

Amazing
It was the most comfortable bed and pillow I’ve ever experienced, and I travel 200 days a year for work. The Wi-Fi was fast, consistent, and there were two workspaces in our room which was really appreciated. The room was exceptionally quiet, and the on-site parking and facilities are extremely secure. Did I mention that the bed was absolutely amazing? The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re a great size, we had a privilege room and we loved the glass wall.

An excellent luxury experience for a special occasion.
The relaxed formality - if that makes sense. Great service without it being stuffy. The ambience is great; the location stunning and the views from the rooms amazing. We enjoyed the food especially the playful aperitifs and the cheese cart and the recommendations from the sommelier.
Nothing. If I was to write something it would be that the seating of the bar inside is in an open corridor and near to the front entrance. It felt like a strange choice and could have been put in a more intimate place as the dining rooms are. It didn't detract from our experience - just a thought.
